Merriam-Webster Dictionary defines happiness as a state of well-being and contentment. Apparently, when the Biden administration constituted the government of the United States, such a state of well-being was beyond the reach of Elon Musk. Even though the Democrats provided Tesla with a loan of $465,000,000.00 in 2009 and implemented a program to incentivize the production of electric vehicles with a $7,500.00 tax credit. Which went towards the purchase of each new electric vehicle.
Elon Musk has called Biden a ‘damp sock puppet’ and feuded with the president for months. He also complained that President Biden did not introduce a carbon tax or visit any of his companies, despite visiting Ford and General Motors. In February 2022, nearly 40,000 Tesla fans signed a petition on Change.org calling for Biden to acknowledge Tesla and its role as the leading electric car maker in the nation. “The White House and the Biden Administration have intentionally been trying to ignore Tesla’s hard work while propping up GM and others as ‘EV leaders.'” BUSINESS INSIDER, By Grace Kay, 25 February 2023.
WASHINGTON — President Biden called Wednesday for a federal investigation of billionaire businessman Elon Musk, who recently purchased Twitter with a stated goal of restoring free-speech principles. “Do you think Elon Musk is a threat to US national security?” Bloomberg reporter Jenny Leonard asked Biden at his third solo White House press conference. “And should the US — and with the tools you have — investigate his joint acquisition of Twitter with foreign governments, which include the Saudis?” “I think that Elon Musk’s cooperation and/or technical relationships with other countries is worthy of being looked at,” Biden answered. “Whether or not he is doing anything inappropriate, I’m not suggesting that. I’m suggesting that it’s worth being looked at.” BIDEN CALLS FOR FEDERAL INVESTIGATION OF ELON MUSK OVER “RELATIONSHIP WITH OTHER COUNTRIES.” By Steven Nelson and Caitlin Doornbos, November 9, 2022.
The fact that the Chief Executive made that suggestion publicly did nothing to endear the Democrats to Elon Musk, who, from that time onwards, or at least so it seems, started to launch attacks against Democrats on Twitter.
- Tesla CEO Elon Musk blasted the Biden administration and Democrats on Twitter as the world’s richest person doubled down on his vow to vote for Republicans.
- Musk accused the Biden administration of doing “everything it can to sideline” and ignore Tesla, despite its dominance in the electric vehicle industry.
- Musk, who is making an increasingly fraught attempt to purchase Twitter for $44 billion, suggested he would become the target of a smear campaign by Democrats.
- Business Insider reported claims that Musk in 2016 engaged in sexual misconduct against a private jet flight attendant, who later was paid $250,000 in severance by his SpaceX aerospace firm. He denies her allegations.
- “In the past I voted Democrat, because they were (mostly) the kindness party. But they have become the party of division & hate, so I can no longer support them and will vote Republican,” Musk tweeted Thursday.
- “Now, watch their dirty tricks campaign against me unfold …,” he wrote, ending the tweet with a “popcorn” emoji. ELON MUSK BLASTS BIDEN ADMINISTRATION, DEMOCRATS ON TWITTER OVER “HATE,” SIDLINING OF TESLA. By Dan Mangan, Friday May 20, 2022.
It is interesting to note that of all the twenty-five multi-billionaires in America, only Elon Musk is actually begging and clamouring for attention from the political elite. He’s behaving like a neglected child who just can’t get enough hugs, kisses, and affection from his parents. The other extremely wealthy people in this country do their utmost to stay out of the limelight and go about their business quietly. Ultimately, Musk made good on his threats to support the Republican Party by investing $250 million in Trump’s presidential campaign. At first, everything seemed rosy since the Grand Old Party was catapulted to an election victory and Trump was elected President for a second term.

Elon Musk arrives to speak at a rally of President Donald Trump’s supporters after Trump’s inauguration on January 20, 2025, in Washington, DC [Matt Rourke/AP]
Obviously, Tesla’s CEO was thrilled by the turn of political events in America, and he celebrated this reality in many ways. He was present at Trump’s inauguration, where he was permitted to address the assembly but he also gestured what seemed to many to be a nazi salute.
In November of 2024, President Trump announced the creation of a new department which was effected by Executive Fiat. This agency would be led by Elon Musk and Vivek Ramaswamy. After a few weeks, the nation was advised that Mr. Ramaswamy had other interests of a political nature in the State of Ohio. Therefore, the Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE) would operate exclusively under Musk’s supervision. ALJAZEERA: Trump names Musk and Ramaswamy to head new government efficiency department, 13 November 2024.
Finding a way to slither out of DOGE and to avoid any further contact with that agency was probably an act of great wisdom by Ramaswamy. On the other hand, Musk charged ahead like a bull in a china shop, wielding a chainsaw as it were, while breaking and dismantling everything in his path. Soon, a tremendous public outcry resulted from the chaos and mayhem generated by his ill-advised actions. Consequently, not only were many agencies, such as USAID and the Department of Veterans Affairs, shuttered or hobnobbed, but numerous lawsuits challenging the legality of his actions were also filed.
On the day of his inauguration, President Donald J. Trump issued an executive order establishing the Department of Government Efficiency (the United States DOGE Service). Since then, spending has been scrutinized, government offices have been reorganized and staff decimated, a federal hiring freeze was implemented, sensitive data has been shared with temporary government employees, deregulation has begun, and scores of federal contracts and grants have been terminated. These changes have caused widespread chaos and uncertainty for federal agencies, civil servants, and entities that rely on federal funding to provide essential services to the public. The Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) has not escaped that chaos, and concerns exist among VA staff about the impact on DOGE’s work inside the agency and the impact it will have on the veterans and the families the agency serves.
