SHOW SOME BALLS

Like a group of shy and jittery high school girls. Climbing a high staircase, during an electrical blackout on a dark and stormy night. A majority of Republican Senators voted to acquit Trump, at the end of his historical and second Impeachment. Forty three of them to be exact. Every one of them seemingly castrated by their terror of the party base. Have they lost their moral compass? Don’t they know the difference between right and wrong? Have they no fear of God? All of them are psychological prisoners as it were of their fear of Trump! His absolute control of The Grand Old Party. Will guarantee their political demise (they believe, misguidedly), if they dare to stand up for the TRUTH. Or if they are courageous enough to show some balls by embracing morality, and standing on the side of decency and right. Is this what America has come to? The most powerful nation in the history of human civilization. The national currency, the dollar, has emblazoned on each note, “In God We Trust.” Yet in a moment of national crisis, it’s easier for several political leaders of the nation to cringe in fear, before the monster of partisan politics. Rather than to ‘Trust in God and do the right.’ I’m appalled, at the extent to which educated, cultured, talented, and privileged, men and women. Were willing to turn their backs on morality, suppress right principles, and trample the truth in the dust. All in the name of political expediency. What a shame? What a disgrace? That America, wonderfully blessed by The Lord Almighty, would disrespect His sacred Law, and refuse to hold Donald John Trump responsible for his crimes. All hope is not lost, however. I read this morning that there is a current investigation being pursued by The Department of Justice. Into the events leading up to, and including the insurrection of January 6. So much so that even the remorseless and infamous Trump, is now worried, that he could face criminal prosecution for his nefarious actions.
